Executive Summary
me too. International envisions a world free of sexual violence. We imagine communities that are abundant with joy, safety, and resources and committed to radical healing. The organization was founded in 2019, and has contributed to the improvement of survivors’ lives through:
- Developing technology that brings quality healing resources and opportunities to take action to survivors
- Providing education and leadership development opportunities to survivors who are new to advocacy, with the goal of supporting their long-term engagement in the movement to end sexual violence.
- Convening leading advocates, movement organizations, and theorists to work together to end sexual violence on a global scale.
- Creating campaigns that introduce new narratives about the realities of sexual violence and survivors
As a result of our work, over 1.5M survivors and allies have received access to healing and action resources. More than 20 state laws have passed fighting against sexual harassment and violence due to our narrative strategy and coalition building efforts as an organization.
me too. International is a survivor-led organization with 100% of our staff identifying as Black or People of Color. Many of our staff also identify as queer, disabled, and/or from working class families. Our community members reflect the survivors and allies who sit at the intersections of marginalized identities.
